Due to my kindness I have switched mp3 players with someone for the summer and so I am limited to 256 and 64 MB (instead of my excessive 5 GB) of tunes for my trip. I am open to suggestions as to what I shall take with me.
This is what I chose, not in any particular order.
64 MB card
Bright Eyes - "I believe in Symmetry"
Bright Eyes - "The first day of my life"
John Vanderslice - "Everything Changed"
Antony and the Johnsons - "I hope there is someone"
My Morning Jacket - "Bermuda Highway"
Bob Dylan - "Mr. Tambourine Man"
Flaming Lips - "Flight Test"
Iggy Pop - "The Passenger"
Neil Young - "Unknown Legend"
Pete Yorn - "Strange Condition"
Ted Leo - "Under the Hedge"
The Shins - "Young Pilgrams"
256 MB
Albums
Elbow - Cast of Thousands
Porcupine Tree - Stupid Dream
Colin Meloy Sings Morrissey
The Beatles - Rubber Soul
Spoon - A Series of Sneaks
Hayden - Everything I Long For
(Also a few random tracks)
I was seriously considering an audio book, but then realised that I wouldn't have room for anything else.
